Nina walked trough a forest that was new to her. She was moving at a human speed so that she could learn all the scents in the area. She had already worked out that there was at least six vampires living in this area, maybe more. She wondered if it was a large coven or multiple small covens, this was a pretty large area and it was great for vampires because of the weather. The rainiest place in North America. Nina didn't need to worry about the sun though, she could just make herself invisible so no one would she her sparkle. She smelled another two scents, so there were at least 8 vampires, one of the scents wasn't as strong as the others so they hadn't been in this forest as often.
She wondered than if there was a coven near by that she could join though doubted she would fit into a coven or even be able to show herself around another vampire. She freaked out every time she heard movement around her. She would at least try to talk to one of the many vampires in the area, maybe she would make a friend, maybe. She continued to walk and pick up scents. There was a strong sweet human scent that she smelt in some parts of the forest which made her eventually stop breathing and give up on learning the scents in the area. Her throat was burning.
The learning scents thing was normal for her. She liked to know what lived in areas as she usually stayed in an area for at least a year or two before moving on. She also did it to make sure there wasn't anything dangerous, she had at times just moved on straight away because of completely foreign scents. She looked around as she heard a noise and made herself invisible. When she couldn't see anything she made herself visible again and contined walking. She heard a noise again but this time stayed visible as she recognised them as footsteps and smelt the scent of a vampire. She was going to talk to this vampire.

Faith went for a walk, she really needed to have a moment alone, her life was a twister, she had just dumped the vulturi, got back home, fought her brother almost dayly... Well, she just need to breath and have some solo time.
suddenly she smelled a vampire, her eyes were still violet, so it would be difficult to approach. what if the vampire got scared?, she was aquite a different vampire, and if it was from the vulturi?, well then she would kill it before it would hurt her family.
She got closer, but suddenly she couldn't see a thing, but still smelled it. then she was there again... "nice day" she just said to strike up a conversation.

Nina had a look of almost fear on her face as she studied the vampire in front of her. It was a girl like her and she was pretty young but obviously older than Nina, well, at least the age when she had been changed. Nina had a feeling though that she was older than the girl. She was over 300 years old and she had lived through a lot of changes. At least she could keep up with things like fashion changes and hair style changes. "I guess it is, though you can't see a ray of sunshine." she said, her tone sounding bored but also slightly nervous.
Nina did miss the sun, she missed finding places where she could just stand and admire the beauty of her sparkling skin but it would also be nice to not have to use her ability as much for a while, at least for a year or two until she moved on to another place. She didn't like staying anywhere for longer than two years, even if she really liked the place she wanted to travel everywhere and then decide her favourite place where she would live. So far this was her favourite place with the great forests but she didn't like not having many sunny days.

Faith looked better at this beautiful woman well, she seemed more a girl, younger than Faith was when she was turned. but she also had bronze hair, they could almost passed as sisters, but they weren't related. then she looked into her red crimson eyes, she was a carnivore, but Faith sniffed in the air and noticed that this vampire had in her still the scent of another vampire, some where in time she had drank vampire's blood.
Faith looked up to the sky and smiled "I like cloudy days, but if you really want some sunlight..." she pointed to the top of a mountin. "up there the clouds are below the top, so you can see the sun"
She looked at the vampire again and then smiled maybe she was like her... an evolution, a vampire who was thirsty for vampire's blood. "I'm Faith Cullen" she smiled and said her last name, her family name with pride... again.

Nina noticed the girls eyes, the colour was violet, something nearly new to her. She remembered back to when she had killed Jack, her eyes had started to become a violet colour but when she had drunk human blood her eyes had gone back to a bright crimson. Human blood makes a vampires eyes red and they went black when you hadn't feed in a while, vampire blood makes a vampires eyes go violet... she wondered what animal blood would do. She wouldn't be experimenting that anytime soon though, animals smelt disgusting, especially herbivores. She wanted to be sick when she got to close to them for too long.
So at least she wasn't the only vampire that had feed off another vampire. She could even smell that this vampire in front of her had done that. She had always thought she had been weird because of that, that something was wrong with her. The girl told Nina where she could get sunlight and Nina thought that was nice, she smiled but then wondered if it was hidden from humans. "It is hidden from humans?" she asked, sniffing to see if any humans were around. She wouldn't really mind a snack right now. She was disapointed when she found out only her and this other vampire were around.
The girl said her name was Faith Cullen, that for some reason rang a bell in Nina's head. She had heard that surname before, she was sure she'd heard the name Cullen before. She had travelled all around Europe and she had spyed on a lot of conversations so maybe it was just that the surname Cullen was popular or maybe it was like a coven surname. That would explain why there were so many vampire scents in this area, the coven could be so large that they are practically a family. That sounded a little stupid but it could be possible, it was just a thought. "I'm Nina Rowell," she said, introducing herself. She had never actually told anyone her name since she was human, just like she hadn't talked to another vampire before except for Jack who had been her creator and she had killed.

Faith looked at this girl again, she saw her eyes, so Faith looked down, she sometimes felt embarrassed of others looking at her eyes. "well... yeah, no many people can get up there" then she smiled again to the stranger.
"nice to meet you Nina" then she breathed deeply it wasn't polite to tell the rules of the place to a guest, but if not this nice girl would have troubles with Faith's family and the wolves that Edward told her about.
"but I have to tell you, you are not allowed to drink human blood in all the Forks territory. i'm sorry" she said.

Nina nodded though she'd thought that hikers would be able to get up there. It really didn't look too hard to get to the top and from wha she remembered humans liked sunlight so why wouldn't they try to get to the top of that hill. She shrugged to herself, she wouldn't be ablee to understand humans actions, they were a lot of the time very stupid. Like how they always destroyed the world around them, they couldn never learn from their mistakes when it came to farming, destroying land, leaving rubish around; they were just idiots and Nina was happy not to be one of them. Faith seemed polite though Nina never cared for manners, she hadn''t used them since she had been human, she hadn't said a please, thank you, nice to meet you or anything that could make her seem less dangerous really.
Nina growled loudly, the low noise making vibrations in the ground under her feet. She did not like being told what she could and couldn't do, especially since she was so old now. She had lived for over three hundred years, she was older than a lot of vampires and she would happily kill one just so she could feed, and she would get a feed killing the vampire. She had to admit that vampire blood wasn't the worst thing though she really did prefer human blood. "And who are you to tell me where I can and can't hunt?" she asked Faith, glaring at the violet eyed vampired. "I can do whatever I want!"

Faith looked at this vampire she really was magnificent and for the way she acted she must be older than she was, maybe older than Carlisle! or not... well when she felt the ground grumble under her feet she looked down and smiled widely, it was exciting to see the power of this vampire, and the slight thought of haveing her power in her for some days was incredible!, but then she breathed deeply, she had primised her father not to drink vampire's blood anymore!
then she heard her voice, she talked like a princess or something like that, and well it wouldn't be the first royal member to be turned into one of them. "well... My family and I live near here, we don't drink human blood, only animals... well... I recently changed diet"
she sighed and then looked at the girl. "so we would really appreciate you not to hunt humans in this forest" she also thought on the wolves Edward had told her about and the one she met last morning, Kaleb... she smiled and then looked again at nina.
this vampire didn't know her... she had just left the vulturi's army, she was still well trained, her body still felt the power of all of the new borns she had drank from... she was stronger than older vampires, and also... she would have hate to hunt her too.

Nina didn't care if she was in another covens territory, she didn't care if they were to try and kill her, she had an ability on her side and she had never lost a fight being in other covens territories, she just made herself invisible and never made her self visible when others were close by until she moved on to a different place. She had her ways to survive even when she had people wanting to kill her, she had become smarter as the years had went by. Her face turned to shock as Faith said that they only drank animal blood. That couldn't be possible, animals smelt so disgusting, how could you drink that?
As the girl finished what she was saying, Nina growled again, her eyes lit up in anger. They had been slightly darkened because of her lack of feeding but now they were as bright as if she had just fed, her eyes always seemed to light up when she was angry. "As I said before, I can do whatever I want!" she glared at Faith and continued, "I'm going to hunt now and you can't do anything about it!" She made her invisible, using the ability she loved, and started to run toward the trails. She smelt the scents of two humans as she got pretty far away and thought that it might be fun to scare them before she killed them so she made herself visible again.
Being completely into a hunt she had forgotten about the violet eyed vampire. She ran right in front of the humans, they would have just seen a blur. The woman screamed, the man looked scared but said that it was probably just a bird flying fast and two low or something. She ran past them again, the woman fell into the mans arms and they both looked scared to death. Nina laughed, sounding evil then she ran and stopped in front of them. "Aw, you two are so cute!" she said in a fake sweet voice, she sounded so young, so innocent and they looked less scared. This is what she loved about looking young. "It's nice that you'll get to die together," her laughed and showed her sharp, white teeth.

Faith looked at Nina and then tilted her head, she was used to angry vampires, to threats, to keep quiet and relaxed while other vampires did exactly what Nina was doing. So she just kept there, with a smile on her face.
When Nina told her she would do whatever she wanted to do, Faith smiled even a bit more, her old vulturi training was working on her mind, that was no good. "you really shouldn't..." but before she could say anything else, Nina dissapeared and ran away.
"why they always choose the difficult path?" she shook her head and then closed her eyes, liftted her face to the sky and breathed deeply, letting all the air to get into her dead lungs, but she didn't wanted the air, what she wanted and needed was the scent of nina in the air.
She could smell other vampires, like common vampires could smell humans, they were her predilect meal!! A second later she opened her eyes, the violet in them was bright, her eyes showed excitement! She hasn't been on a real hunt months ago!, she loved the action! wrong thing left in her from the vulturi's training.
She began to run, her speed was marvellous, maybe not even Edward would had been able to keep her steps, she was Fast! thanking to the newborn's blood in her system. Suddenly she heard some human yelling, she smiled more, she was in the right direction.
She looked at the humans, then she heard nina's voice, she frowned and smirked, then before Nina could bite them, Faith got there and pulled the humans back, behnd her, and stood right between the humans and Nina.
"Well... we see each other again!!" she said in a sarcastic way. then she looked at the humans showing them her fangs and her bright violet eyes, they were almost white. "I suggest you to go away... and if you talk about this... I'll know about it" she winked at them and then looked back at nina. "told you... no hunting in these forests... no human season" she smiled again.

Nina breathed in deeply, letting the delicious scent of the humans blood fill her nostrils, letting herself take a second to enjoy the scent before she killed the scared to death couple. She smiled, a toothy grin and was about to the couple when Faith appeared between her and her prey. Damn the violet eyed vampire, she was so close to getting a feed, so close! Faith really was an idiot, she was just going to get herself killed. If she had just let Nina get on with her day and have a little meal she wouldn't be in any danger but the girl that could easily be thought of as her sister had decided to be a hero and save a couple of patetic humans.
To Nina she hadn't just saved the humans but made their lives worse. Nina believed she was doing humans a favour by killing them because they were going to die anyway. Nina broke their necks before she feed and killed them quickly and painlessly unlike the other ways they could die. Humans made stupid mistakes, killed everything around them and they just ended up killing them selves slowly and painfully. Humans were stupid lifeforms and Nina laughed whenever she heard them call themselves the smartest lifeforms on Earth. Animals could be smarter than them! That was one of the main reasons she was never going to switch diets, she though she was doing a good thing.
As Faith told the humans to go, Nina used the chance to her advantage. She grabbed onto Faith's arm and pulled it off, at the same time jumping up the tree branch above her and hanging by her feet like an acrobat from the circus. She pulled Faith up off the ground by her neck, making sure not to kill her... yet. "If you let me hunt, I'll let you go. But, if you want to be a hero than I'll kill you and I wont have to chase after a meal." she smiled and waited to see what the decision was going to be.

Faith felt the pull on her arm, and she would be lying if she said it didn't hurt, nina was a really strong vampire! Faith was more concerned for the humans' fate than for herself, her body was still as strong as the newborns'. Finally the human ran away, at their lousy speed, but they did, but nina got her by the neck by then, and that was the moment when Faith looked back at nina.
Her eyes were full of excitement, she hadn't had a rival like Nina in years! She smiled confidently. "well... you really are strong!... and fast!!... but not enough..." she said in like a tired tone. She grabbed Nina's wrist with both hands and then pressed it really hard, but only to get free her neck.
whe she was free, she used Nina as a rope and lifted her feet to the same branch where Nina was hanging from, she let go off Nina's wrist and then stood on the branch, smiling at nina. "Please... there is no way, you can win... maybe we can get an even fight... but you won't win..."
She jumped and landed again on the ground still between the humans' direction and nina. She looked up at nina and sighed frowning a bit. "come on... I'll go with you to the forest that is off Forks... there you'll be bale to hunt whoever you want"
She was excited in deed, but she also knew how it would might end... as all her past battles, with her drinking directly from Nina's neck, and she really didn't like that idea, nina seemed nice... even when she was trying to kill her for a couple of humans.

Nina snarled as Faith grabbed her wrist and got free. The violet eyed vampire then used Nina as rope, swinging herself up to the branch that she was hanging from and letting go of her wrist. Faith was then standing on the branch, looking down at Nina. "I am going to win! I have an ability on my side and you don't!" she growled the words, starting to sound more animal than human. She was so damn thirsty but she was not going to just give up, she was not going to be told what to do by another vampire. As Faith jumped off the branch, Nina swung up and crouched on the branch near the trunk of the tree.
Nina shook her head as Faith said that she would gowith her to the forest off of Forks, no way she was going to agree to that. She took in a deep breath and caught the humans scent. She jumped to the next tree and made herself invisible as she ran toward the couple. They weren't going to get home alive today, they were going to kill the burn that was strong in Nina's throat. She hoped that Faith would just give up and let Nina hunt but she doubted it and she knew it was going to be hard to win the fight, she was as strong as Nina. Nina had gained her strength from centuries of feeding from humans and never taking a break. She wondered how Faaith had gained her strength and speed.

Faith heard Nina telling her how she was going to win because of her ability, well for sure Nina wouldn't like to find out Faith's. but then before Faith could say anything else, Nina ran after the humans, using her ability, she was invisible to the eye, but not to Faith's smelling sense.
"Oh... Nina..." she said and jumped to the branch where she had been, then to the other that she jumped on after that, and so on, she followed exactly the same path that Nina took. It was as if Faith was looking at her made every move, every jump, it was something natural in her... the worst part of it was that she was already feeling Nina's scent burning her throat, and that wasn't something good!
before Nina could reach the humans Faith jumped over her and threw her body a couple of meters away. She sighed and then smiled. "you just asumed I didn't have an ability... that's not a very good thing in a battle you know?" but by then she was already acting like the hunter she was and not the friendly vampire Nina met minutes ago.

Nina couldn't help but scream when she was threw a couple of metres away. The childlike fear just came up for a second. She shook her head as she landed and quickly got up again. She didn't start running again, she knew it wasn't going to do any good, the only way she would get this vampire off her back would be killing her. She took in a deep breath, memorizing the scent of the vampire and with her already in acting like a hunting the vampires scent was now the scent of her pray. She smiled, the scent wasn't that bad, it was better than the scents of animals around them. She could cope with it, she could enjoy it. The taste of the blood would be nice too, she knew that from the one time she had tasted vampire blood.
As Faith spoke, Nina growled and snarled. So Faith did have an ability, now she would have to think of what she did, she didn't even know what ability this violet eyed vampire had. She began to imagine some crazy and dangerous ones. Things like telekinesis, putting thoughts into other minds, being able to start fires just by blinking. She was actually beginning to become scared, she hadn't ever met another vampire with an ability, she had thought others would probably have them but now, finding out the person she wanted to kill had one wasn't a good thing and it was distracting her, making her vulnerable and easy to attack. She couldn't get the images of ways she could easily be killed by different abilities out of her head.
She forced herself to stop those thoughts and she concentrated on studing the forest around her and working out what things could help her fight. She did this quickly while always keeping an eye on the vampire a few metres away from her. She looked at the branches hanging down from trees, some were thick and would be good use. She might also be able to hide up at the top of some and attack from above. She smiled and turned to completely face Faith. "I have two questions, what is your ability? And why the hell do you care so much if I hunt?!" the words came out as a growl and it would be near impossible for a human to understand them. The burn in her throat was getting a lot worse.
