What now? (Alice)

Bella sighing, sitting in her's and Edward's room in silence with Alice, waiting the five minutes it took to wait for the results of the pregnancy test, swearing that they were the longest five minutes of her life, she was so worried.

She looked down at the test, groaning impaitently when it was still undecided, so worried that Edward was going to be mad at her for getting pregnant. "Edward is going to kill me" Bella told alice, throwing the test lightly onto the comfoter as they waited.

"You check it" she told Alice, throwing her the test, not wanting to look at it when it was finished, not sure that she could make herself, worried about seeing something that she really, really didn't want to see - confimation of her being pregnant with Edward's baby

Alice just stood there, waiting for the test to beep. She knew that it would take five minutes, but usually for vampires, five minutes was only three seconds. Now however, it felt like ten years, Alice was that worried.

Alice sat down on the other end of the bed, leaning over and taking Bella's hand as she spoke about Edward. She shook her head immediantly at what she had said. "He's not going to kill you...he'd probably kill himself, actually for letting this happen" Alice admitted, not thinking about what she had said until after she said it

Finally though, the test was decided. Alice took the test, holding her breath which was something vampires didnt need to do anyway. She shook her head before she spoke. She didnt like what she saw.

She looked up at Bella, biting her lip again.

"Oh...Bella, honey..." she said, throwing her arms around her newest sister. "Im so sorry...but, you are pregnant"

That almost KILLED her!

Bella shook her head when Alice said that Edward would kill himself for letting her get pregnant, not even wanting to think about Edward killing himself because it made her too sad. "A world with no Edward would kill me Alice" she told her.

Bella held her breath when Alice looked down at the test, tears filling her eyes when Alice pronounced her pregnant, wrapping her arms around her. A steady stream of tears flowed down Bella's face and she hugged Alice back, trying not to let herself cry more, knowing that she now had to grow up, she had no idea how to be a mother but she had to, the baby was half Edward, she couldn't let anything happen to it.

"I don't know how I'm going to be able to do this Alice" Bella whispered to her sister, her hands instinctivly going to her abdomin when she finished hugging Alice, tears still rolling down her face. She could feel a slight hard buldge in her abdomin and she grabbed Alice's hand to show her, tears continuing down her face, knowing that this pregnancy wasn't going to be normal, that something was different about it.

"How can I already feel it when we only got back last week?" Bella asked Alice just above a whisper, in shock

Alice looked at Bella, and ran her fingers through her sister's hair gently just shaking her head. She knew that no matter what, she would be there for her. If she needed help with the birth, or getting the nursery done, telling Edward, telling Charlie, or the childs room, shopping for the child, changing her future childs nappy...She would do anything for her sister, just like she knew Edward would.

Alice ran her fingers through Bella's hair, knowing how hurt she was. With just one look, Alice could tell and it almost killed her. She had always been protective over Bella. Sure, not as much as Edward if she was being completely honest with herself, but more than the rest of the family. At least, that was HER opinion!

Finally Bella pulled away and looked at her, her cheeks tear stained which was to be expected, of course.

She shook her head as she spoke. "You'll do this with help...Youre a strong women. You'll get through this" she insisted and just smiled at Bella again. It was of course a sad smile, but a smile nevertheless.

However, the smile (as sad as it was) disappeared all too quickly once Alice's hand was taken and placed her Bella's stomach. Alice's eyes widened and shook her head. "We've got to talk to Carlisle, Bella..."

Bella's eyes went wide when Alice said that they had to talk to Carlisle, worried now, worried about the baby, that something was wrong with it. She had no idea about babies, she had just presumed that it was normal. "Alice..... what's wrong?" Bella asked, worried "Is it alright?" she asked, worried that something had happened to it.

"I have to tell Edward" she told Alice, knowing that it wasn't fair that Alice, Jasper and Bree already knew and she hadn't told Edward "Don't you think that he will want to come and see Carlisle with us?" Bella asked "Why are we seeing Carlisle? Alice what's wrong with the baby?" she asked, shocking herself by being so worried about it

At that, Alice shook her head before she stood in front of Bella and took both of her hands in her sisters before she finally stopped shaking her head. "Im sure nothing is wrong with your child" she said and smiled again. She could see how much Bella already cared, and although it was touching, she knew it would make it harder for Edward to convince Bella to get an abortion, which Alice was totally against, no matter what.

"Its just...Carlisle needs to know. Ive never heard of a half vampire child." she said and bit her lip. "I cant give you answers...you'll have to ask Carlisle about all this...And yes, we should tell Edward, and take him" she said and nodded her head. "I can be there when you tell him, if you want..."

Bella bit her lip and nodded, agreeing with what alice said, though she wasn't ready yet, she couldn't go and face Edward yet, she couldn't when she barely knew what was happening herself. "Alice...." Bella began "I agree..... but I just can't yet, Edward's not back and I can't tell anyone before him, not even Carlisle, I need him Alice and I don't know if I can even tell him yet" Bella told her, tears starting to fall down her face again.

"How can we have been so stupid?" Bella asked, hating herself and blaming herself for this. If she had made herself go on the pill or insist that Edward wore a condom just incase then none of this would be happening, she wouldn't have to go through this at all, she wouldn't be putting Edward in this possition

Alice bit her lip again and sighed before she nodded her own head. "Yes, I know youre right...But this truly shouldn't wait too long. Who knows what could happen?" she asked, then sighed before she shook her head again and sighed once more. She hated this, so much. She hated seeing Bella become so nervous, even more so than she was when it came to her wedding day.

At this, Alice sighed and shrugged before she shook her head. "Dont worry about Edward...and as much as I want to tell you the two of you weren't stupid...you both were. However, you both didnt know better" she admitted, then sighed. "Well...chances are they'll have to change you now. I mean, thats good...I think" she said and bit her lip again.

Bella shook her head, knowing that if she was changed, then she wasn't going to be able to give birth to the baby. "No" Bella said "I want to have the baby, I don't want them to change me to stop me from having it" she told her, her hands resting on her stomach, protecting her baby.

"Just give me a few hours and then we will tell Edward" Bella requested "Please, then we'll tell Edward and Carlisle and everything will be alright" she said, wanting to beleive it herself "It has to be, I can't let anything happen to Edward's baby" she said before she got up, now knowing what she wanted to do. "Alice, I want to buy something for the baby" she told her, wanting to be the slightest bit prepared, wanting to have something for the baby

Alice bit her lip again, just like she had before before she finally nodded her head again and smiled finally. "Okay...we'll go shopping, get something for yours & Edward's child" she promised and nodded her head before she stood up again, offering a hand to help Bella up, already acting like she was 'huge' for a lack of a better term. She just wanted everything perfect for Bella!

Although, there was still a thought of Bella's child inside of her, and what could possibly happen if anything went wrong. She bit her lip before she sighed and jsut kept her hand outstretched, waiting for Bella to take it.

Bella raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest when Alice held out her hand to help her up. "I'm at the most three weeks Alice" Bella told her, standing up without taking her hand "I'm pregnant, not crippled" she reminded her, picking up her car keys and walked down to the garage with Alice, opening her new mini and slid into the drivers seat, leaning over and unlocking the pasenger side for Alice to sit down in.

"Is it going to be a girl or a boy?" Bella asked Alice, her hands on her baby bump, already over the top in trying to protect it, though she could feel herself starting to get tired.

Alice would have blushed if she could as Bella pointed out that she was only three weeks pregnant at the most, however, she couldn't help but smile and shake her head. "I know...but its exciting, even for me" Alice admitted. However, she couldn't hide the worry. She just hoped Jasper wouldn't pick up on it if she saw him again before Bella told the Cullen family. Alice found she couldn't lie to him anymore than she honestly already had, about turning Bella if Carlisle or Edward wouldn't.

However, now it seemed she didnt need to worry about it.

Alice walked down with Bella to the car, waiting by the passenger side for Isabella to lean over and unlock the door. Sure enough, she did and Alice slid into the car with ease before she shook her head at Bella's question. "I have no idea...I havent had a single vision" she admitted and bit her lip.

Bella bit her lip as she started the call, driving to the closest baby shop, not wanting to be too long or spend too much. "Why do you think that is?" Bella asked Alice, worried about her baby, worried that it might die while she was prengnant and that was why Alice wasn't having any visions.

Bella smiled at a little yellow blanket, taking it up to the register, deciding that was what she was getting for the baby, it was cute and it didn't cost much, it was perfect. "ok, ready to go and tell Edward?" Bella asked, walking back to the car, getting in and starting the engin

Alice was thinking along the exact same lines of Bella, henced why she was so 'stressed out' herself, to say the least. She ran her fingers through her short & spiky hair. She was worried about her best friend. The one human that wasnt scared at the thought of vampires. She just was positive that there was no one like Bella out there, especially not in this day or age.

Alice smiled however, trying to act like she wasnt worried, and that everything would work out fine. She was just praying that they would! Even Alice couldn't imagine a life with out Bella...and she knew that if there was such a life, Edward wouldn't exist. He would kill himself first! She walked up to the register,s miling before she heard what Bella said and nodded as she walked back to the car. "Sounds like a good iea to me," she insisted.

Bella sighed and as she pulled out. "I'm so nervouse about telling him" she told her, pulling outside of the Cullen house and taking a deep breath. "Wish me luck" she asked Alice, getting up. "I'll see you later, I have to do this alone, Edward's my husband, I should be able to tell him anything, and if he really loves me, he's not going to hurt me or the baby" she said, taking a deep breath and making her way upstairs.
