Not only was Bree still upset and disappointed with herself for losing control last week(this time the humans weren’t so lucky), she was absolutely bored. She’d tried to find some excitement in the world by going hunting, but that didn’t really appeal to her. It was too easy to hunt animals. So she was just on her way back to the Cullen house. Bree let out a sigh, knowing that she would be bored until the Cullen ‘children’ got home from school and for the ‘parents’ to get back from work.
Bree hated being left alone on weekdays. She felt so insecure; frightened that she’d bring shame to the Cullens again by hunting more humans. There was nothing she wanted more than to be able to be relatively normal. To be able to go to school in the morning, study and do work, then come back home to smiles and a happy family. But that was nowhere close to the horizon. Bree was still too unstable and couldn’t fully control herself. It would be like walking through fire if she went to school and surrounded herself with delicious humans.
Bree froze, her hand gripped tightly on the door to the house. She had caught that scent. The scent of an unrecognisable vampire lingered in the doorway. Bree opened the door quickly and jumped behind the couch, her feet only making a slight thud as she landed. The vampire’s scent was so strong in the house; he or she had been here recently. Hell, the vampire could still be in here! Bree stiffened as she tried to figure out what to do. She couldn’t call any of the Cullens. Not only were they busy at that moment, but the vampire could hear her and launch an attack.
An incredulous and frightening thought popped into Bree’s head. The Volturi. The deal was that Bree behave whilst staying with the Cullens. If she didn’t then she would be punished, along with her rescuers. No… Word couldn’t travel that quickly, could it? It had only been a week since her slip up. But anything was possible.
Bree stood up from her crouch, knowing that if she wanted to protect the Cullens, then she should face this vampire. He or she was creating a great danger to her family, so she must do what she can to protect them. They’d risked their lives to save her, and now she was repaying the favour. Bree tip-toed as she followed the trail, a habit that she couldn’t shake from her body. It was silly though; she could have sprinted and not made a sound. She peeped around the corner to the kitchen, and her eyes rested on the vampire. She was young, in both the physical sense and the vampire sense. The vamp was probably a few years older than her, plus her eyes were glowing red, indicating that she had been newly turned. This wasn’t the Volturi, Bree knew that for sure. No Volturi member would be so new and inexperienced.
”Who’re you? Why are you here?” Bree asked, her eyes piercing right through the girl. It didn’t matter that this girl wasn’t a Volturi member. She could be anyone. She could be out to destroy the Cullens, just like Victoria had wanted to. Bree stood warily in the doorframe, her senses keened to the vamp. She would not leave this vampire, not until she had proven she wished no harm to her adopted family. Well, maybe not even then.

Biting her lip, she finally spoke, wanting to get to the bottom of what was happening just as much as the girl in front of her, Bree.
Noelle ran a hand up and down her arm and shook her head. "I dont know why Im here...all I remember is a car crash...and then pain. She bit her lip as she debated whether to be nice to the girl or retain her tense posture. The girl looked so frightened, more so than Bree had been when she was just turned. And if she was newly turned and in the Cullen house... then one of the Cullens must have turned her. Bree sighed and relaxed the tiniest bit, but remained wary. She could practically feel the new vampire's fear and anxiety emnating from her.
"I'm Bree." she said, looking down at Noelle. She noticed the girl's jewellery, among them a necklace and a ring. Both of which had symbols Bree could recognise as being Christian. So this girl was religious and she was now a monster without a soul. No wonder she was so scared and on the edge of losing it.
Bree thought now would be the time to ask about her earlier revealation. "So why are you here?" She tried to speak in the friendliest voice she could to Noelle, "Did the Cullens create you and 'adopt' you, so to speak?" she asked, hoping that Noelle understood what she was talking about.

Should she go over, try to comfort her? She'd never been good at that, so doing so wouldn't help. She moved a little closer to her slowly, as if she was a baby dear that would get frightened if startled. Bree listened as Noelle tried her best to tell her what happened.
"So you were in a car crash?" Bree asked, racking her brain for any information about car crashes in the past week or two. She remembered seeing a girl's face on the news, now being recognised as Noelle, being reported as missing. Her family were very worried and they were talking to news reporters. "Your family are worried about you. They were on the news a few days ago." Bree said, hoping that this would comfort Noelle in some way.
Bree sighed when the girl stuttered about adoption and her own family. "Umm, I guess this is the hard bit." Bree muttered mostly to herself, but she knew Noelle would hear anyway. "Errm, I'm hoping you know what you are now? Well... I don't know when you'll be able to see your family again, Noelle. Maybe some years into the future..." Bree stopped talking, knowing how wild a newborn's emotions were. She'd been one, she'd seen it. She hoped Noelle wouldn't get angry or there'd be bloodshed.

------------ THIS IS A STORY OF A GIRL WHO CRIED A RIVER AND [/sub] drowned the whole world , Noelle looked over to Bree, able to tell that the girl was deep in thought. Noelle knew she would've become an analyst in the army as she knew that she wouldn't be able to afford college, and the army spent a whole lot of money on their soldiers pay. So ofcourse she was able to pick up that one simple detail. Still, she didnt know what Bree would need to think about. She wasnt the one that had been taken from a caring, loving family and into a family of vampires who just suddenly expected that she wouldn't be afraid? Wouldn't be terrified of the strangers who were now 'adopting her'.
Fat chance.
Noelle listened to Bree and nodded her head as she told her about her family. "Yeah...I was their protector" she admitted, then looked back at Bree again. "Are they...are they all right?" she asked and bit her lip, hoping that could be the worst of it...however, she was sorely mistaken.
Noelle picked up on Bree's mumble, which surprised even her. "How could anything be harder than finding out Im a vampire? A souless creature" she responded with out thinking. Once she figured out what she said, she bit her lip. "no offense or anything..."
Soon enough, she found out what was the hardest bit.
"Oh...Oh no. No. No. No. No" she insisted, the same words repeating themselves. She was unable to stop herself. "Dont you dare tell me I cant see my family again...I wont believe it." she said, finally standing herself up. She held onto the wall for support and shook her head. "Im...Im going to go see them. Right now."

"I don't know. I only saw them on the news for a second." Now she felt really bad for Noelle. By the way she was talking about her family, she could tell she was the mother figure and the one who protected everyone. Bree didn't know what it felt like to have those responsibilities, she didn't even know what it felt like to have a mother figure, so she couldn't completely grasp the pain that Noelle was going through. Bree hadn't been leaving anything behind, Noelle was leaving her whole world. Bree ignored the comment about vampires being soulless.
"Look, I don't know what to tell you, Noelle." Bree sighed, running her hands through her long dark brown hair. "What's done is done. I'm very sorry but it can't be reversed." She remembered a detail in Noelle's tearless blubbering. "I didn't say you couldn't see them again, I said I didn't know when. Maybe a few years, at the least. It's still too dangerous for me to be around humans, and I've been a vampire for months."
Bree heard Noelle say she was going to see her family and she started to stand, but Bree ran over and grabbed her arm before she could run anywhere. It would be simple for Noelle to drag her off since she was more recently changed, but she had to hear her through. "You can't do that," Bree talked in a rush, knowing that Noelle would hear her words no matter how quick she talked. "You feel the burning in your throat? You know what gets rid of that burn? Human blood. You'll say you won't hurt them, but I know you won't be able to keep that promise. I know what it's like when you lose control, it's like you're not even you anymore." Bree didn't let go of her arm, because she could tell that Noelle would run off and she wouldn't be able to catch her. "Unless you want your family to die, listen to me."

------------ THIS IS A STORY OF A GIRL WHO CRIED A RIVER AND [/sub] drowned the whole world , Noelle looked at the young vampire. Just looked at her. She seemed so young, so small...she looked like she couldn't hurt anyone. However, she was sure she looked the exact same and most of the time it was true. Her family was thing only thing she would get angry over. If some one insulted them, or something threatneed them, she would literally kill for them with out a second thought. But now a new thought was coming to mind. What if the person they needed protection from was her?
That was just too much to handle.
Noelle instead, tried to listen for any good news, like that they were okay. Sadly, that never came. Letting out a sigh of frustration, she tried to clear her mind. She usually thought about things logically, but everything was clouding her good judgement.
"I cant wait a few years! My mother will be dead by then!" she exclaimed, throwing her right arm to her side. "And then Ill lose track of my sister! She'll be put in foster care. I cant let that happen" she insisted, her voice still quite loud.
With that in mind, Noelle started to head to the door. She closed her eyes, visualising her family crying, greiving, wishing that the strong willed person in the family was there. That was her job. Being there for them. She never, no matter what, cried. Just as she was about to walk out, she felt a cold hand wrap around her petite arm. Noelle turned to look at Bree, ready to tell her to let go, when she started talking.
It made sense. All of it. However, she was for once being selfish.
"W-What am i supposed to do then? I cant just them...grieve for my death, when Im alive!" she said and shook her head. "I cant do that to them...."

She appeared calmer, and she looked at her with cautious eyes. Bree didn't know it was that bad. She didn't know the newborn's mother was gravely ill, or that her sister would be taken to foster care. Bree's eyes met her's, and she looked at her sympathetically. Having realised visiting her family would hurt them more than help them, Noelle wasn't going to visit them any time soon. Bree reluctantly let the newborn's arm go, and she hoped that she would not run off.
Bree listened to Noelle stammer about not wanting to let her family grieve for her when she was alive. "Well, technically, you are dead..." Bree said the first thing that popped into her mind, then she instantly regretted it. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that." Bree muttered, looking down at the Cullen's nicely tiled floor.
"There has to be something that we can do," Bree muttered mostly to herself, but she was open to suggestions from Noelle. Carlisle would know what to do, he always does. If he were in the room, he'd give some fantastic advice that would make everybody feel better, and then there would be a solution in front of them. But Bree was nothing like Carlisle. He hadn't tasted human blood, Bree's track record was dispicable; he was tall and selfless, she was short and selfish. Bree couldn't think of anything but what Carlisle had taught her. Hunting the animals in the forest had been what Carlisle had done with her, so maybe she could do the same with this newborn.
"Maybe there's something that we could do.." Bree said slowly, but before Noelle could get her hopes up about seeing her family, she said "It will still be a long time before you can see your mother and sister, but I know of an activity that will help you get your mind off things for a while." Bree stared into Noelle's eyes, not seeing a hint of recognition behind her bright red irises.
"You want to go hunting?" Bree asked her, giving an option for once. "For clarification, we're not hunting humans. Just animals. It's a Cullen thing." The Cullens hadn't adopted her, as far as she could tell, so Noelle could come and go as she pleased. But if she wanted to see her family sooner, a diet of animal blood might swing it in her favour. Bree said her thoughts outloud, hoping it would convince her to go hunting. "If you want to see your family sooner, a diet of animal blood might swing the scales a little to your favour." She said, hoping Noelle would agree to go. Bree had hunted earlier that day, but a little more blood in her system wouldn't do her any harm.

------------ THIS IS A STORY OF A GIRL WHO CRIED A RIVER AND [/sub] drowned the whole world , Noelle looked at Bree. Honestly all she wanted to do was throw the girl out of the window if need be, and continue to walk out of the unknown room. All she wanted to do was see her family, let them know there was no reason to cry, that she could be the protecter again. All she wanted was for things to go back to normal, even if they weren't really normal to begin with.
She looked over to Bree, expecting to see something else. Anger, disappointment...she had no idea why, but she felt like she had disappointed her own family. She felt horrible, but not nearly as bad as she knew her sister would. If she hadnt called for Noelle to pick her up, then all this would be fine...She'd be at home, and nothing would've changed. She couldn't even begin to imagine the guilt her sister would've felt.
As Bree pointed out she was technically dead, Noelle sent daggers her way. Well, at least it got her out of the self pity. Noelle only stopped glaring once Bree apologized and averted her gaze away from Noelle. At least she knew she meant it. "No, you shouldn't have" she admitted, but didnt mean for it to sound so horrible. "Sorry..." she apologized herself, and decided to just leave it there.
She just stood there as she listened to Bree. She wasnt sure if there was anything. Unless there was a cure for this disease...and she highly doubted that too. This was her new life, and although she knew it would take some getting used too, she would have to soon enough.
To keep her thoughts away from her new life, she just looked at Bree who looked deep in thought, just like Noelle thought she looked like too. Who wouldn't be? She just found out she was a vampire, couldn't see her family again, and she felt the craving for blood while she could hear heart beats from a mile away. All this was so overwhelming. But looking at Bree, she knew that she at least had someone to ease the transition. She should be thankful for that.
Grabbing onto her necklace, Noelle listened as Bree finally came up with a plan. Raising an eyebrow, she finally spoke. "Wait...hunting?" she asked. It made sense...and she knew she would do whatever she possibly could. Noelle nodded her head as she listened to Bree's argument. "Okay, lets go hunting then..." she said and bit her lip. What she would do to see them again. Biting her lip, she just continued to look at her new 'friend' if you could even call her that of course. However, it was the closest she had to a friend.
"Where do we hunt?" she asked. Noelle hated being confused, but it looked like she had to get used to that.

She had expected Noelle to know nothing about hunting, but Bree knew enough to be able to teach her the basics. It might be risky to take her outside, especially this time of day when there were hikers around, but she would steer clear of the tracks. Hopefully there were no overly adventurous humans around who liked to wander.
Noelle hesitantly agreed to hunting, then asked where they would hunt. Bree honestly hadn't taken that into consideration yet. The woods a few kilometres away had full-grown deer and mountain lions this time of year, but it would be a risk to go that close to the neighbourhood. Bree had already lost it there... She didn't want Noelle to have to go through the same regret that she had. At last a decent place came to mind. She would take the newborn to the forest behind the Cullen's house. It was the exact same place that Carlisle had taken her on her first hunting trip.
"I know. We'll go to the forest out back," Bree said, nodding as she thought the rest through. "There shouldn't be many humans around, but I'll have to check just in case." Her eyes shone when she smiled at Noelle, and she was glad she wasn't still angry with her from that 'technically dead' comment. This was a better start to a 'friendship' than she had expected.
"Follow me," Bree said as she ran out the back door, expecting Noelle to follow her. She powered her legs as fast as she could as she ran up to the river. She was a little disappointed that her newborn strength was nearly almost completely gone, Noelle would catch up quickly. Bree landed on the rocks at the edge of the river and jumped across the water, coming down to dry land with ease.

------------ THIS IS A STORY OF A GIRL WHO CRIED A RIVER AND [/sub] drowned the whole world , Noelle bit her lip and looked at Bree. She was as confused as anything. Biting her lip, she tried her hardest to just calm down. She knew she could have an anger, and the last thing she wanted was to make even more trouble than what was needed. She bit the inside of her cheek, a nervous habit of hers as she placed her hands in the pockets of her jeans. She still wasn't sure if she could trust Bree...and who could blame her? After all, this was an entirely new experience to her.
As Bree thought where they would hunt, Noelle didn't take her eyes off of her. She took in the pale skin, the eyes, the beauty...Noelle hadn't seen her reflection, not yet. She just thought that this was just Bree. She didn't know that people int he household were just as stunning as Bree was.
Thankfully Bree spoke before Noelle had time to dwell on the thoughts. Now was a difficult time to ponder her thoughts. If she thought too much, she knew she would go insane. She bit her lip and looked out the window to see the forest and nodded her head. "Okay," she finally said, and then proceeded to indeed follow Bree.
Noelle quickly ran after Bree. "Hey! Wait up for me!" she yelled, but soon found out that it was the other way around. The next thing she knew, she was slightly in front of her. Slowing down, she looked at each step Bree took, copying it exactly.
Finally, she had gotten to the forest.

Bree smiled, remembering when she had that much speed and strength. "Newborn's are the strongest and fastest. It's pretty sweet, isn't it?" she asked, her voice not laboured at all from her running.
Bree looked at Noelle, and she could see her copying her movements exactly. The edges of her lips turned up into a small smile. It was nice for someone to be looking up to her, or following her example. Normally it was the other way around. She used to be the newest Cullen, and she always had to follow everybody else's lead. She had always followed others... It was strange being the one followed.
At last Bree and Noelle arrived in the forest, and Bree skidded to a stop. This would be the tricky part. She didn't have the best speaking skills and she didn't have a clue about how to teach people, so she procrastinated the speaking part for a few moments. She closed her eyes and focused on the world around her, scanning for any human scents or heartbeats. Fortunately, there was none. She would have to check again in a few minutes.
Bree opened her eyes slowly and looked at Noelle. "Umm.." she began, biting her lip. She remembered what Carlisle had said when he had taken her hunting for the first time, and she decided to reiterate his words. "Let your senses go, and then tell me what you smell. Sometimes it helps me when I shut my eyes," Bree suggested, and she waited patiently for Noelle's reply.
