[/font]Bree's long, dark brown hair spread out behind her as she ran in the very familiar evergreen forest. It didn't matter how long she'd been away for, because her vampire brain remembered everything. She found the exact tree to make a left turn, and there it was. The Cullen house.
It had been a while since Bree had been anywhere near the Cullens. The last time she was here was a few months ago, and back then there was a lot of tension in the air. The newest newborn, Noelle, had apparently been a struggle. It was tense enough with one newborn, so Bree had decided to go visit Fred for a while.
Fred was his usual self, repelling most people and keeping away from trouble. They'd talked about how he'd travelled to Volterra and met Jane. Bree had been horrified, but was glad that the Volturi hadn't offered him a spot in their phony 'civilisation'. Fred was still keeping up his diet of human blood, but he had been intrigued by the vegetarian life style Bree had adopted. They had even gone hunting, veggie style, but that's where Fred's fascination ended. It was apparent that he found the traditional vampire diet more appealing, and Bree was embarrassed to say she agreed. Though human blood was definitely tastier, her conscience prevented her from going back to how she used to be. She didn't want to hurt the Cullens like that, especially after how much danger they had put themselves in to save her.
Bree skidded to a stop when she came closer to the house. A horrible, disgusting scent ripped up her nostrils and nearly made her gag. The wolves had been here, far too often for Bree's liking. She could particularly smell Jacob around, but that made absolutely no sense to her. He should be appalled and disgusted by the newly-turned Bella. Why was he here so much?
Thankfully the scent was a little diluted, so that meant there were no wolves around at the moment. Bree sighed a little in relief. She didn't want to be one on one with any of those dogs. She continued to run, but this time she just jogged to the front door. She was about to open the unlocked door and let herself in, but she hesitated. She couldn't just let herself in when she hadn't been here for months. Instead she knocked on the door, and waited for a reply.
