| GENERAL APPEARANCE: Like any other vampire, Esme had inherited the physical traits of inhuman beauty, pale skin, golden eyes (which darken as the thirst for blood is increased) & deep purple shadows under her eyes if she doesn't 'eat'. Beyond that however, she is taller than the rest of her children, standing at 5'6" with caramel-colored hair. Her face is a heart-shape and her figure is phenomil as she is slender and rounded as she was changed not long after giving birth to her son.

Like all vampires, Esme is extremely & stunningly beautiful. She has dimples on her face, and is similar to 'one of the ingenues of the silent movie era', as described by Bella. She also has deleicate eyebrows. Carlisle had won her heart many times, but continues to with this sentence; "My wife is utterly stunning, as desirable as a goddess'.



PERSONALITY

| OVERALL PERSONALITY: Esme has always been an extremely warm person, who is gifted with the ability to love anybody passionately. Being taken away from her son has left her with a maternal ache in her, which is why she's able to open her heart so easily to her adoptive children, her husband & Bella, as her first child had died days after her giving birth to him.

Esme has always been family motivated. She loves Carlisle, her adoptive children (including Bella, and soon, Renesmee) dearly & has always been protective (some would say to the over protective point) of them. Unlike most vampires, she even shows affection to the werewolves, always willing to talk to them and hear their side of the story.

Also, she is INCREDIBLY intelligent, just like her husband.

| HISTORY: Esme had been born around 1895. Like Alice, little is known about her life, but she lived near Colbumbus, Ohio.

Unlike her children, Esme had met Carlisle before she had been changed. When she was sixteen & had broken her leg climbing a tree to be exact. She was heart broken as he had moved town, always been infaturated with him, even as he left. She had never forgotten him.

Esme had wanted to move to the West & become a school teacher, however she was pressured by her mother & father to remain in Columbus, Ohio & marry.

Finally, at the age of 22, she had married Charles Evenson, trying to please her parents, and act like she was happy. However, she soon found that her husband had been an abusive man. He abused her behind closed doors, but she had always kept quiet, trying to be the 'good wife' despite the abuse.

However, she was given some relief as her husband was drafted into the First World War. However, her came back and abused her worse than ever. Finally, she knew that she had to escape. While her husband wasnt looking, she ran away. However, a couple of days later she found she was pregnant with his baby.

She fled to the North and finally become a school teacher. All was perfect...until she gave birth.

Her son died a couple of days later of a lung infection.

Because of this, she found that she no longer had anything connect her to the world anymore. She tried to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, and was presumed dead when she was brought back to the mmorgue, but her heart was still beating.

Carlisle had been working in the area at the time, and recognised her as the happy & beautiful young girl he had treated ten years earlier.

Carlisle changed her, no longer wanting her to suffer.

After the transofrmation, they fell in love. When Esme first woke up as a vampire, Carlisle told Esme all about the vampire world. Esme joined the Cullen's Olympic coven in 1921 & then married Carlisle.

Because of her warm & loving nature, she had welcomed Bella with open arms to their family, and treated the rest of the Cullen's like this too. However, she has always had a strong spot for Edward.
