Visiting the Enemy [seth, esme, open]

"Why isn't anyone answering the door?" Seth mumbled to himself as he knocked on the door to the house where Jacob Black lived. He knew that someone had to be home, Billy at least, he was sure he'd heard someone inside. He knocked one final time and waited another minute before walking off.

He tried to work out where he could go for the day. He seriously had nothing else to do. Maybe he could go find Bella, she was a friend of his and he liked talking to her. The first place he would check would be the Cullen's house. Though he doubted she would be there because of Bree, it was still a possibility. He walked to the Cullen's house knowing that he was welcome there now, after the new borns battle, him and Jacob had been welcome there and he got along well with most of the Cullens.

When he got to the house he knocked on the door and waited patiently. He heard footsteps walking towards the door and was happy that at this house someone was actually answering the door. He smiled and wondered who was going to answer the door.

Esme was cleaning, yet again. Although the house seemed to be spotless to any human, vampires new better. They could see better, and because of this, the house always looked like a mess to Esme. On top of that, she was a perfectionist, and she needed things to be perfectly clean, hence why she had been cleaning for over three house, and still had three quaters of the house were left.

Esme rolled her eyes as she noticed her children making yet another mess in the rooms they were in, and she yelled up at them gently. "I just cleaned up there, Emmett!" she insisted and then sighed. "Ah well," she whispered to herself. She was about to continue when she heard a knock on the door.

She didnt think she was expecting anyone, so she was a bit cautious, but she soon smelt the stench of werewolf and shook her head. She had been thinking it would be Jacob, but knew she was getting her hopes up.

She walked up to the door, and sure enough saw the youngest wolf there. "Hello there, Seth" she said, and smiled. "Can I help you with something?"

Finally, she realized she was in the way., and stepped to the side. "Please, come in..."

As the door opened the sickening smell of vampire flooded Seth's nostrils. Hecould ignore it though, he was used to being around the Cullen's and the scent affected him less everytime. He smiled as he saw Esme. She was really kind, like a mother to the Cullen kids and Seth didn't mind spending time with her. "Hey Esme, is Bella here?" he asked, leaning against the door frame.

He was a little tired but he would rather spend the day with friends than sleeping. If he couldn't find anyone to hang out with then he might have a bit of a nap but he would be able to find someone to hang out with even if it was his sister. That was a little extreme since from his point of view, Leah was very protective of him but she still wouldn't like to just hang out with him at the mall or the movies or anything like that.

Seth walked into the big house as Esme stepped aside and invited him inside. He was always so surprised when he walked in. The house was so neat, never the tiniest bit of mess unless he you actually saw that people lived here, you'd think it was an unused holiday house. Esme always kept the house spotless which made Seth wonder if thats just what she always did with her free time or if she had other hobbies.

Esme smiled at Seth her usual smile, something htat was incredibly charming, but at the same time so soft and kind. Just like Esme.

However, she sighed and shook her head as a temporary frown took place on her full and beautiful pink lips. "No, Im sorry Seth...Bree has been having a hard time controlling herself, so she's out with Edward...who knows where the two end up" she admitted, and then shrugged.

Esme didnt really question where ever Edward took Bella, as she knew that her 'son' was intelligent and respectful. He wouldn't take her anywhere that he wouldn't want a boy to take Alice, Rosalie, or even herself! He truly was protective of any one he loved, just like the Cullen family.

However, Esme was protective of everybody, even if she had never met them before. She truly had a kind & a heart full of love.


"I could call Bella & Edward, if you want" she said. "Is it something important?" she asked, knowing that Edward & Bella didnt have much time to themselves anymore to just be two 'teenagers' in love before their wedding. Half was because of the wedding, and the other half was because of Bree. However, Esme knew that both Bella & Edward understood...At least, she hoped so.

Seth nodded, he was actually happy that Bella was staying away from Bree, he didn't want his friend getting hurt or worse... he frowned. "I'm happy that Bella is staying away from Bree," he said quietly. Seth didn't really know if he wanted to go looking for Bella if she was with Edward, he didn't want to see anything that would scar him for life. He was still only a kid.

He answered straight away when Esme said she could call Bella and asked if it was something important. "Nah, just wanting someone to hang out with." he said. He smiled his cute, friendly smile then wondered if it would be a good idea to hang out with Esme. She was a nice woman and he liked talking to her. He thought about it for a moment but he already knew what the answer was gonna be, he was so bored he'd hang out with anyone. "Hey, Esme, can I hang out with you for a while?" he asked.

He then wondered if he had interrupted anything important. He would hate it if he had, especially now that he had asked to stay for a while. "If I'm not interrupting anything," he added just in case. Maybe he should have just kept looking for Bella or went looking for someone else to hang out with. He hated to bug anyone.

Esme heard what Seth said about Bree and then shook her head. "Bree's learning...just give her time" she insisted, and then sighed. "Just give her time. Thats all Im asking for, and then sighed before she shook her head. "She's not as bad as you think she is..." Esme insisted and smiled. "I actually think you would get alone well with her..." she insisted then shrugged.

However, that was the last thing Esme said on the topic as she heard what he said next and smiled. She had always liked Seth. He reminded her of Jacob, in a way, before Bella had broken his heart, not that Esme wasnt slightly glad that she did. If she hadnt, then Edward probably wouldn't have been alive. And she needed her son. Still, she smiled at the werewolf who reminded her so much of Emmett. Playful, kind & caring...yeah, Emmett all the way.

Esme's smile grew as he asked whether he could 'hang out with her for a while'. "Yes, of course. It'd give me an excuse to stop cleaning..." she insisted. "Sadly, I dont really 'hang out' with many people outside of my family..." she admitted then sighed. "So, Ill jsut follow your lead" she insisted and continued to smile at him. She had nothing against any of the wolves, or shapeshifters. Especially not Seth. She knew he could never even hurt a FLY! Let alone a human being...even if they were vampires.
