Charlie sat in his living room, watching the newly purchased flat screen. He watched the football players run forward, throwing the ball to each other, falling as they tackled. He thought back to the days when he could actually still do that. He remembered his time as a Forks Spartan and shook his head. Those days were over and never coming back. It was a part of his past he didn't like to think about, particularly because thats when he met Renee.
He sighed and took a sip of the beer in his left hand. He flipped through the Sports channels, stopping on Hockey. The Vancouver Canuks and the Detroit Redwings. The redwings were up by one, but the Canuks looked like they were close to getting another score. He looked around after they did score. He thought of Bella and looked at the clock.
She should have been home by now. She didn't really have a curfew, but it was nice for her to be home. He liked to know where Bella was at all times, but not because he was a Cheif of Police. He loved Bella way too much to loose her. He frowned and fell into his chair a little more, waiting. When he finally heard the sound of her Truck, his frown grew deeper. He watched the door.

Bella bit her lip when she pulled up into the drive way, parking her car and going to take off her engagment ring as she usually did, though she stopped herself, knowing that now she had a date, she had to tell her father.
She bit her lip and went inside, feeling Charlie's eyes on her, knowing that there was no way around telling Charlie and her mom now, knowing that otherwise, Renee was going to be wanting to know why she had flights to Forks booked for her.
She bit her lip and went into the lounge room, picking up the remote and turning off the TV, sitting down on the couch. "Dad...." she began, glad that she hadn't let Edward come with her, knowing Charlie would try and kill him "Edward proposed... and so now I'm engaged" she told him, scared of his reaction

Charlie smiled lightly as Bella came in, forgetting about her being late and looked over at the TV. "Hey Bells." He said, not looking back at her. His voice raised in protest when she turned off the TV, but the look in her eyes stopped him. He turned over slightly, looking at Bella, wishing there was something he could do. His eyes became wide when she began speaking, shocked. Thought after thought ran through his head. Bella in a white dress. Edward in a suit. Two small children, both a mixture of them both while them standing behind them, looking aged. A small bubbled of rage was inside of him, but he kept it suppressed and looked down at her hand.
A beautiful gold and diamond ring sat there, staring up at him. It mocked him, saying that it was going to steal his little Bells away. "Bella, are you sure you want to do this? I mean, your so young..." He said, thinking of himself. He was way too young when he got married and if he had waited, perhaps him and Renee would have still been together and his little baby girl wouldn't have been ripped from his arms before she could talk. He looked into her eyes, his brown eyes pleading. He felt angry at Edward for trying to steal his little girl away, just as Renee has but this was much more permanent. He was happy Edward wasn't here right now, for his gun was loaded and only a few meters away.

"I'm sure dad, Edward is all I ever want, he's my everything" Bella told Charlie, knowing that if he hadn't planned on hunting Edward tonight, this next bit of infomation was about to send him into a frenzie.
"Alice is comming around tomorrow to fit you for your suit for Saturday" She told him, knowing that Charlie was about to come after her with his gun. "Edward and I are tasting cakes so I'll being you over some leftovers" she told him, though it was more like she was going to be tasting cakes, Alice and Edward would just be watching her and there was no way she was going to be able to finish them all.

Charlie smiled at her, though he was slightly depressed that he was going to have to give her away. He didn't want to loose her again, but he could see the complete and utter dedication in her eyes, leaving him soft and mushy on the inside. He didn't show this on the outside though so he just sighed and looked up at her. He groaned, though, when she started speaking of him having to get Alice to fit him for a suit. "You know how I feel about dressing up." He said, gesturing towards his grey plaid shirt and blue jeans. Charlie smiled, though, but only lightly. It was not often that he would show a full smile.
The thought of food made his stomach growl, though he wasn't sure if he would be able to eat anything at this moment. "Why wasn't Edward here when you told me?" He asked, laughing a little bit though he was serious. What kind of man would let the women tell her father, her Chief Of Police Father, about her being engaged at the age of 18.

Bella bit her lip when Charlie asked her about why Edward wasn't there, already having a cover story for him "Because Alice is fitting him with his suit.... she hasn't got my time left" Bella began, speaking slowly, trying to tread lightly "Because.... we're getting married on Saturday" she told him, biting her lip, knowing that Charlie wasn't going to be happy.
"I'm sorry that you have to dress up" Bella apologized "It wasn't my idea, Alice wanted to plan it and she didn't give me a chance to say no, I was happy to get married in jeans and a t-shirt" Bella told him

Charlie smirked, his prize-winning smirk if there was an award for that. He rolled his eyes and looked away, snatching the remote from Bella's hand before she could protest. He turned it back on and smirked, once again. "Well, tell Edward to watch his back while in town. I can bust him for any reason I want." He warned, a mocking tone to his voice. He watched again at the TV, tipping back the beer he had once grabbed from the side table. His eyes continued to wander the TV screen, falling onto Bella every once in awhile. "So it's happening over at the Cullen's?" He guessed, knowing it would be hard to find a place so close to the time of the wedding. Unless they had been hiding it from him for awhile, but he dismissed it from his mind.

Bella shrugged when Charlie asked where it was happening, not knowing what Alice was planning "Alice is planning it, I'm just turning up" Bella told him, getting up and going back to her car, pulling out the big folder of things she was suppose to go through that night and make a decision on which of what she wanted, Alice having already given her all the options. She locked the car behind her and dropped the huge folder on the dining table when she came in, not knowing what else to do with it.
"You want some dinner dad?" Bella asked, going into the kitchen, getting out some frozen vegetables and starting to rumage through the fridge for something to go with it, smiling when she found the roast chicken she had made the night before

Charlie laughed, coming into the kitchen. He whistled at the size of the folder, picking up a corner before dropping it down again. "Alice has got you on lockdown with this stuff, hasn't she?" He said, knowing Alice all too well with this stuff. First Bella's birthday party, then the Graduation Party. Now his daughters wedding. He shuttered at the thought, getting angry that he only had a week until his daughter was no longer Isabella Swan but Bella Cullen, a completely different person. She would no longer be his little girl, she would be a married women.
"I think you can read my mind." He said, sitting down in his usual seat at the table. He grabbed the new paper that was still rolled up and unfolded it, placing it on the table. "Do you need any help?" He said, meaning both dinner and the folder of wedding things.

"Nah, I'm right" Bella promised, heating up dinner, dishing it up and waiting for it to finish cooking. "That's the folder of Alice approved things, now Edward and I have to pick which ones we like best" Bella told Charlie, rolling her eyes "I don't really care, but Alice does" Bella explained, grabbing out the plates when they were heating, bringing Charlie his and sitting down next to him, her huge folder infront of her with a pen, her dinner to the side a little as she opened it and started going through it all.
She groaned when she saw the first page - having to pick a napkin "They all look the same! And they are only napkins" Bella complained to Charlie, showing him the 4 Alice approved napkins that all looked the same shade of blue

Charlie laughed, looking at each one carefully. "This one has... flowers..." He said, awkward when he talked about napkin designs or anything like that. He laughed and pushed them away. "Eneeie, Meenie, Minie, Mo." He said, pointing at a different one each time. He hoped to get a laugh out of Bella so she didn't have so much on her shoulders. Maybe she should have said no, or at least that she wasn't ready yet. He wondered why she was wanting this so much, wanting it so soon. He knew Alice would have done whatever Bella wanted, in that aspect.

Bella cringed when Charlie pointed out that one had flowers. She sighed and circled the white and light blue design before she turned to the next page, gasping in horror, guessing that Alice really was trying to tourture her "Really, I have to pick what chair to have under the chair covers? Seriously?" she asked, just circuling a random one before she started looking at the designs for her bouquet, smiling at one that she liked of light blue flowers that were missed in with simple white ones.
"What do you think?" Bella asked Charlie, pointing to the flowers that she circuled, knowing that Alice was going to be annoyed that she picked the simple, cheep option rather than one of the expencive, complicated ones.
