"We're not moving in with Tanya" Bella shook her head, not wanting to have Tanya near her Edward, worried that she was going to try and steal him. "and, I don't want to go to college, this was the plan, college was the cover story" Bella said, unable to beleive what was going on, not wanting to leave everyone.
"Edward.... I don't want to leave, Alice is my best friend, I can't leave her either, this isn't how it was ment to happen" Bella said, starting to panic, not knowing what she was going to do.

Carlisle looked between them both "listen i know how hard it is... but i dont think its best to change her at all right now. You can always do it at the end of the summer, im sure that Bree will be much tamer by then and also, wel cant we jstu see how things go after the wedding?" Carlisle really didnt see no need to rush, she was still both young and beautiful adn a year wouldnt hurt anybody, she could even go to unversity for a year and then get changed... it was ahtought

Esme wasnt shocked, at all. She had been thinking the same, and considering that Carlisle was the smartest person she knew, she knew that he wouldn't caught onto the one little problem. Esme sighed, hating that Bella turned directly to Edward. She shook her head and sighed. "Bella, this isnt Edward's fault, nor my husbands...and most certainly not Bree's." she said, then sighed before she continued. "We need to all stay calm." she said and then sighed. "I dont think its a good idea to turn Bella at all, not yet. Its not that I dont trust Tanya, as we all know i do...but, I honestly believe that a farmiliar face will help Bella best when she is changed." she said, and then sighed before she leaned forwards slightly and took Bella's hand. "There's no rush. You will still be as heart breakingly beautiful as you are now...its not forever. Just wait a year. Take your time." she insisted and smiled, her compassion shining through.

Alice sighed, her usual smile now gone as she watched Bella's slight pain. Alice didnt regret being who she was. Not at all. However, she still wanted Bella to think about this. And she didnt want to lose her best friend! Well, her girl best friend anyway. She sighed before she nodded her head. "Yeah, I dont want to lose you Bella...and I dont like the thought of two new borns running around Forks. We have to think about every one. Think about Angela...And think about Mike! What about your father?" she asked, and sighed. "How would you feel if suddenly some one snapped and attacked your family? You need to think about things like that"
Finally! Alice was being SERIOUS!

Bree couldn't believe what she was hearing! Bella wasn't going to become a vampire, just because Bree was here? Hello!? she felt like saying, Bella should become a vampire because I'm here! I put her life at risk and she should be changed! Of course she wouldn't say that out loud, but at least Edward would hear her. She didn't want him to voice her opinion though, and she hoped that he would respect her wishes.
Another idea popped into Bree's head. Contradicting Esme's earlier words, Bree was at fault for Bella not being able to be changed to a vampire. The solution was simple, and she didn't know why no one else had said it yet. Bella and Edward weren't the ones who needed to stay away for a while, Bree was! She had Fred, after all. They could spend some time together for a year or so while Bella adjusted to being immortal. It was so simple!
"I know what we can do," Bree said, finally feeling she was comfortable enough to voice her opinion on the matter. When six pairs of golden eyes and one pair of chocolate brown eyes turned to her, she continued. "I'm the only one who's keeping Bella from what she wants. I can stay with one of my friends for a year or two." Bree stopped talking to look at every person in her new family, including Bella. "He's not veggie like you all, but I'm not stupid. I'll stay away from temptations." she smiled a little at her lame joke. She wouldn't disappoint Carlisle or Esme by going back to the traditional vampire diet, they should know that. If she was, Edward would have told them by now.
"I can hang out with him for a year or two while Bella's adjusting to being a vampire." Bree's eyes were pleading with the other vampires in the room, especially Carlisle who would no doubt have the final say. She wanted to spend more time with Fred anyway to make up for her not showing up when she promised. "If getting me out of the way helps Bella, then I'll go for a bit," she smiled.

Jasper had been with a friend, an old friend and this had been the only chance he was getting to see him... well, that was what he had thought at first but as he found out he could go talk to him tomorrow so he would be able to get back home for the meeting. He texted Alice, hoping she would get it in time so that they could wait for him to get their before the meeting. He had sensed before he'd left that Carlisle was worried and from that he had a feeling he would need to be there to control the emotions of anyone who had a bad reaction to what the news was.
He jumped into thje house though the kitchen window which was luckily open and before he even walked into the dinning room he could feel the mix of emotions. He could also smell Bella's sweet scent. He stopped breathing and walked into the dinning room. He wasn't the newest member of the family anymore and he'd been here long enough that he should be able to control himself now. "Hello," he said. He was happy to see a empty seat next to his beautiful wife Alice and sat down next to her. He smiled at her and held her hand, keeping his attention directed at her and everyones emotions, not Bella's scent.
He first calmed down Bella, she was panicking and he didn't like that. He gave a feeling of calmness to everyone in the room. He had heard the last thing that Bree had said and wanted to know what the meeting was about. "What has been said so far?" he asked, looking over at Carlisle. He knew it had to be something about Bella because of her panicking and the fact that she was here.

Bella hated that Jasper controlled her emotions when he was around, hating that she was being forced to be calm. "Bree, I'm not letting you do that" Bella told her, not wanting to put her out. "Carlisle is saying that I'm not getting changed anymore" Bella told Jasper filling him in, getting irritated that she couldn't get annoyed and irritated. "I should have known it wasn't going to happen" Bella said, devistated that it wasn't going to happen "I should have known that all the voting, deciding, negotiating, agreeing, none of it was going to make a differance.
"And Jasper, stop telling me how to feel" she told Jasper, getting up and leaving, releived when she could feel the way she wanted to when she got to her truck, tears starting to fall down her face, realising that it wasn't real, that they didn't want her to become one of them, that it wasn't going to happen and that the volturi was going to be after her.
She climbed into her truck and stuck in her key, collapsing over the steering wheel in tears, trying to compose herself before she drove off, scared of what the volturi was going to do to her.

Alice sighed as she looked over to Bella. Her smile was still gone. Even though she had seen most of this happening, she hadnt been expecting it to feel like this. Finally, Jasper came and took her hand into his. She squeezed his hand gently(for a vampire) and looked over to him, about to open her mouth when Bella did. For once, she was quiet until Bella ran out of the house.
Alice got up out of the chair and ran, yelling over her shoulder, "I'll be right back!" she shouted, and then started to walk out of the house before she headed over to the car, knocking gently on the window. "Come on Bella...come back in and talk about it, yeah? And if need be...I can turn you" she said, knowing that she didnt want to be...but she hated ot see Bella in pain. Almost as much as Edward did

Bella jumped when she heard someone tapping on her truck window, scared out of her mind it was the volturi until she saw that it was Alice and sighed before she opened the door and move across incase Alice wanted to come in. "We promised the Volturi that I was going to be turned" Bella said, barely above a whisper, scared of what was going to happen if the Volturi found out. "I.... I don't know what we're going to do when they find out, how much trouble I'm going to be in, I'm so scared Alice" Bella told her.
Memories of Edward being forced into pain from Jane filled her mind, of what they could do to the rest of the Cullens. "I don't want to put any of you into danger because of me, and now you may all be in trouble with the Volturi, I.... I dont want to think about how Jane is going to try and hurt Edward if she finds out...." Bella said. "Please Alice, if they get me, don't let Edward do anything stupid" Bella requested.

Alice shook her head as she heard that. "Dont worry sweetheart...Ill know if she comes. And we'll explain to her what has happened, and Im sure Aro will understand at least. He's not as bad as Jane...And she wont go anywhere with out him. Its like she's in love with him" she insisted and rolled her eyes.
She finally sighed again and shook her head. "And it doesnt matter...We'll fix this. Dont worry" she said and ndoded her head again. "I really dont think you have anything to worry about" she said, placing a strand of Bella's hair behind her ear. "Come on...come back inside and we can all talk about this calmly..."

Bella shok her head, not wanting to go in, not feeling like talking to Edward right now, wanting to talk to him alone where there weren't 8 vampires trying to listen in on their conversation. "I think I'm just going to go home Alice" Bella told her. "Can you please tell Edward to make sure that he comes over tonight so we can talk?" Bella asked her, knowing that she was going to be insisting to Edward that they talk about this that night.
She sighed and started her truck. "Do you want to stay here and talk to everyone or do you want to come to my place?" Bella asked, not feeling safe home alone anymore now that she knew there were no plans to change her, knowing that she was going to be a victum for the volturi, another reason she was going to make Edward stay the night.

Carlisle was there all the while they were waiting for Bella and Alice to get back. He understood that she wanted to get changed, that they had promised to chage her, Carlisle had promised after graduation and Edward had promised after the wedding. But that was before Bree came along and he wished that she could see that. All they wanted was to make sure she was safe, make sure that things didnt get out of hand. Because they didnt want their familyi at risk for anything, and she was part of the family.
"Jasper, can you or Edward go and get Alice and Bella. Im not done talking and there seems to be some confusion on what i was meaning. " He looked at his family, and then settled his eyes on Esme, and smiled slightly. "Please go and get them before Bella leaves"

Edward got distracted by what was in everyone's head, to many thoughts! Bree's were heartbreaking!! she was willing to go away just to help Bella, so she really loved Bella, she really was her friend. Well that was ok, because they would spend a lot of time together!
Then Bella, how could she say so?! Carlisle never said she wasn't going to get changed?!
"Bella... wait... listen!" but he shook his head, he knew that sometimes it was better to let her get her head cleared. "Sorry about that Jasper... she's really touchy when the turning matter comes into a talk."
He then looked at Alice walking out, he knew Bella would love to talk to Alice in that moment.
"Carlisle, I know we don't need to rush about her changing, I'm the one willing to pospone it forever!, but a deal is a deal... and we need to do it... at least at the end of the summer"
Then carlise told them about going for Alice and Bella, he nodded and walked out to get his fiance and his pixie sister back into the house.
"Hey... girls" he said and smiled at them in an appologetic way. "sorry but Carlisle needs to set clear some stuff for Bella." |

Bella sighed when Edward came out and said that Carlisle needed to set some things straight, knowing that she had been irrational. "Fine" she sighed, getting up and closing her truck door behind her, going over and into Edward's arms, wrapping her arms around Edward's waist, wanting a few minutes of being close to him before she went in to meet her doom. "I love you Edward" she told him, burrying her face in his chest for a few moments before she walked with him and Alice back into to the house, taking her seat next to Edward, staying as close to him as she decently could in public, feeling safer with him.

Edward sighed when she agreed and held her closer to him, he looked down and kissed the top of her head. Walked into the house and he heard her voice again he smiled and pulled her closer and tighter. "I love you too, For ever" he said meaning that he would turn her when the time came, as he promised. |
